How to shop for a new flooring installation

A new flooring installation is exciting and yet overwhelming. Not only is there a wide assortment of products, but you have a lot of decisions to make; it is, after all, one of the most significant investments you'll make in your home. First, explore your needs and wants

Is your family large, with kids and pets, or small?  Do you cook large meals and entertain frequently? Are there any additional needs, such as durability, stain resistance, mobility devices, or sleep (infants or shift workers)? What did you like and not like about your present flooring?  What is your overall style? Most importantly, what is your budget?

Now think about the room in which it’s to be installed.  Does it have heavy foot traffic, like a family room, or light foot traffic, like a bedroom?
